Frequently Asked Questions

Fill in the blank with your choice(s):

  • Portfolio
  • Online store
  • Online course
  • Blog
  • Landing page
  • Simple brochure style

And the answer is yes!

Time for everyone’s favorite answer—it depends!

You can expect to invest a few thousand at least; depending on functionality, fancy features, and the amount of content or pages.

Designing a fully customized website can add significantly more time and budget.  However—if you’re looking for a simple website that needs to be done quickly and is budget-friendly, I also offer a $1K Website package.

Every website is built to last for years to come. It is one of the best investments into the future of your business!

Yes! You will always retain full ownership of your website and its assets.

You will also have an all access pass to the backend of your website, so you can always change it, move it, delete it, copy it…whatever you may need to do in the future. Your website will never be held hostage.

It depends on how many pages and how much content your website has, as well as whether it has any custom built features.

Very generally, websites typically take a few months to be launched because it coincides with a re-brand, or re-positioning of the business in some way that requires a lot more time, energy, and work than just the website itself.

At the start of your website build, we will chart out a timeline so that everyone is on the same page throughout the process, and to ensure we hit any necessary launch deadlines.

Yes I do!

We can work out a monthly or quarterly gameplan to make sure your website is always at its best.

The Anatomy of Your Website: How It All Works

Your domain is your website's custom URL, i.e. mycoolwebsite.com

PRO TIP: Purchase multiple domains with different naming variations — you can point them all to your website!

Utilizing your domain, you can set up custom email addresses, such as myname@mycoolwebsite.com

PRO TIP: This is an easy step to take to make your business look more professional!

“Hosting” is essentially renting storage space for your website on the internet. It is also where you will edit your website. Your domain points --> to your hosting (via DNS records), to tell the internet where your website’s files live.

PRO TIP: Your website host can either make or break the overall experience and load time of your website. Avoid “shared” hosting plans, and choose wisely!

As use can see, your website is just one small piece of the pie of how it all works!

PRO TIP: If you’re using WordPress, you can log in and edit your website directly by adding “/wp-admin” to the end of your domain, i.e. yourwebsite.com/wp-admin

An SSL certificate (offered as an add-on by your hosting platform) secures and encrypts data on your website, such as: credit card information, addresses, form submissions, and other sensitive data that customers might input on your website.

PRO TIP: your site will not show up in Google searches if you don’t have an SSL certificate

DNS (Domain Name System) Records tell your domain what to do. You may see A, MX, NS, or TXT records in your domain account.

These records work behind the scenes to point your domain to your website, attach your domain to your custom email address, and much more!
